TOPIC: YOU CAN LOSE ALMOST ANYTHING EXCEPT YOUR BELIEF
Your destiny can be changed suddenly which we can’t predict ourself. Today, you are a billionaire, but tomorrow you can become a beggar or on the contrary. You are the famous player , but you have to end your career forever because of your injuries.You probaly lose many thing in only minute, but if you have your belief, you can restart what you want. My brother is an example.
He was an athletics athlete in National Team. He took part in athletics club when he was ten years old. Everyday , he also practised hard through rainy or shiny. The first result he was awarded was the gold medal in Athletics City. That was the threshold to him go on his career .After that competition, he also participated many ones and took a lot of prizes. When he was fourteen years old, he was convened on National Team.That was his indulgence.He was so delighted that he couldn’t sleep for a week.He exerted himself to utmost to practise. His effort was repaid by many gold medals at SEAGAME and ASIAD.He became the most excellent athlete at National Team Vietnam. So he was chosen to take part in Olympic Sydney 2000.That was a big arena which any athlete desired to be participated. He had 6 months to practise,but a terrible event happened to him.His ankles and right knee were injuried in his practice After the surgery, the doctor said to him: “ You have to stop practising forever”.That was a shock to him.At that time,he was like a mad person who knew to break and scream. One week, two week passed, but he only lied on the bed, not to talk and meet anyone and he seemed not to practise walking. The doctor said to us: “If he didn’t practise walking now, probaly the bone of his leg will become hard and he will be disabled permanently.Our family was worry about him.We advised him many times,but he seemed to ignore all things. One day,he suddenly went to the Xuan Huong lake – the name of lake near my house.He was sitting in daze suddenly a sweet voice call him:“Please buy for me a lottery ticket”.He turned around and he saw a disable girl.She talked to him a lot.she told she used to be a ballet dancer.After an accident her legs couldn’t be walked.She was disappointed, but by her belief ,he left the sadness to restart a new life: “ The disable don’t mean to be useless.If you aren’t able to do this work, you’re able to another work.”She was selling the lottery tickets and studying the fashion designer class.After a long conversation, she said goodbye to sell the tickets.He bought 2 tickets. Holding them on hand, he thought about her saying.And he recoginzed he waisted a lot of time to lie on the bed.he felt so embarassed with her: “She was younger than me,but she has the mature thought.”. He admired her.The next morning, he left his bed and told to our family: “I want to restart my life”.We extremly surprised at his decision. He efforted to step by step to walk. Although the injuries made him hurt, he also didn’t give up.One month late, he could walk without the wheel chair. He enrolled in to the Medicine University. “I can’t be an athlete, but I can become a doctor to take care of them.He graduated 2 year ago. Now, he is working in the sport center. He is satisfied with his job.
